trick worms,how to fish um?

Featured Replies

Trig, Splitshot, mojo, weightless, and on and on.. limited by only your imagination.

Weedless and weightless. Throw out, let it sink a little bit, lift drop with occasional twitch.

Same as my answer to the Finesse worm question:

DS, wacky, flick-shake, skaky head, ball head jigs, c-rig, t-rig, twister rig.....

Whenever the fish respond positively to smaller baits, and big baits aren't working.

I fish them on shaky head(watermelon seed, or pumpkin), weightless over grass(yellow) or texas rig(junebug, or watermelon seed).  Hope this helps

What is the best shaky head jig to use.  There are several different ones out there.

I usually use the T-Rig weightless and weedless.  But I am going to try the wacky and shaky head methods.

Later, ;)

I use them this way:

Heya wayne, I've tried your method of rigging but I can never seem to get the worm straight onto the hook like that, any suggestions or tips you could share for rigging like that?

Donnie, the hook is a 3/0 Gammy Octopus hook #02413.

SimonSays, put the hook eye deeper into the worm and you can rig it straight. Having it straight makes no difference though, so don't worry about it. I just makes a prettier picture if is straight. The hook in relation to the worm would be like this:

edited: I forgot to mention, I don't use solid colors when rigging this way, I use colors with lots of flakes in them as they are softer. The white worm was used for photo clarity.

weightless T-rigged from 3/0-5/0 hook straight shank or EWG is a great technique for any shallow, very grassy area when it is hard to fish lure without them getting mucky

i fish em carolina or texas. as above poster mentioned when fishing in thick pads or grass they work great weedless w/o any weight.

Weightless as a floating worm around weedbeds and cover.
