ok, i want to enter my very first tournament at a bass tournament being held on April 14th 2007 on my favorite bass lake. how do i go about entering a tournament? please help me! ive always wanted to compete in a bass tournament to test my skills.

The best thing would probably be to find out who is holding the tournament.  Then just give them a ring and see what all the details are.  A great way to get into tournaments is to join a bass club.

it is sponsered by ABA on Tahkenitch Lake in Oregon. Im from Albany.

Hinkle, how old are you?  I think you need to be over 18 without parental permission.  ABA isn't sponsoring it, they are the organizers of the event.  The sponsors are a long list starting with Triton Boats and ending with Kevin VanDam's Line and Lure Conditioner.

Hey Hinkle if it's organized or ran by ABA try their website http://www.americanbassanglers.com there you should be able to find all the information you need with a list of rules for the tournament. Also there should be a name/number of the "host" for the tournament, if so try giving them a call with any questions you have they should be able to help you out.
