Talking fish; i.e. what is FLW and other abbrev??

To fisherman on these forums:

I'm new to fishing forums and found the "FLW Wal-Mart Tour"; but nowhere on the web can I find what "FLW" means.

I even searched ACRONYMIA.COM -- they don't even know what FLW means (they think it means Flood Waters).

My most important question at this time is: What does FLW mean ?

However, I'm guessing there are many other fishing-terms and/or abbreviations that might need to be explained to anyone who is unfamiliar with the world of fishing; but there really isn't anywhere to find all of the abbreviations and/or words used by fisherman.

Someone on these forums should start making entries that explain various fishing terms:

For example, What is CULLING? Whenever, I here that word in a fishing article, I assume it means: A fisherman had too many fish and threw away the small ones.

Please answer by sending email to joe_gervais@yahoo.com

Thanks.

Culling is the act of releasing a fish which you replace with a larger one when you have a tournament limit.

Ya like they said above.  Culling is a key tool used in fishing tourney's.  It can actually be a skill in its own, for instance ive had to cull out two 3 lb fish and it was very difficult to do so.  I use a Rapala Scale and ive also used the balance beam method.
