I've tried to like there new stuff but in my opinion anything that they made that wasn't co-written with Cliff Burton is just , so anything after And Justice For All I could do without. I hope there new album goes back to there roots like they said but like mentioned before they said that about St. Anger.

Get a good chord book and learn them. Then learn your scales and from there you will be able to figure out songs. Lessons help too.
