Any experience with Media Bass tournaments?

Featured Replies

Media Bass is going to run a series of tournaments on Lake Talquin here in Tallahassee next year.  Does anyone have any experience with this organization?  Do they run a decent tournament?

Fished Media this year in Texas, and other years, if you looked at their site, you'll see this next year marks their 21 season.

Meida is for the working team.    150 bucks for entry on teams, 10 big bass pot.     What nice is, if you qualify in points in your divison, you qualify for all six championships where you can win a BassCat w/200hr.   Other regions will pay out cash, and as soon as it grows enough, a BassCat will be up for grabs there as well.

I am also eligible for BassCat incentive money at every Media event.

I have known the owner of the trail, Gordon Stauffer for 5 years, good christian man.

I hope that trail takes off, its always nice to have choices in what you fish.

Sounds like a great organization.

Hope Ole Biker can fish it and let us have his insight and comments on the event.  :)

The tournaments start in January.  My fishing partner and I are going to give it a shot.  I'll let you know what we think.  The local circuit is sponsored by a friend, so I have to believe it should be fun.

Good, fun trail and very popular here in TX.  One thing to mention, always have them weigh your largest fish no matter what.  I should have been paid on a BF once ($500) in a slot lake but let the TD dump him in the tank.  Who would have thought a 3lb fish would win BF on Fork during the spawn.   :'(
