Any experience with Media Bass tournaments?
Media Bass is a great organization. I'm sure you will enjoy fishing with them.

what is your spinnerbait go to color
I use Blue/White/Chart most of the time. My biggest SB bass 8.5 lbs came off this color

Ever been skunked?
If you haven't been skunked, you haven't been fishing. Even the pro's have days like that.

Glasses
I'm using Sun Covers that fit over my glasses. Good side shields and UV protection. Cocoons and Fit overs are a couple of other brands.

Mercury vs Tohatsu
Personally I would go with the Mercury. I can't find anything that supports the claim the Tohatsu builds Mercury's small motors. They may purchase the powerheads from Tohatsu (as they did from Yamaha for a while) but the motors are built and backed by Mercury. As far as size what is your boat rated for and what will you be using it for will help you determine the size of motor.

What's your least favorite technique?
Dragging a worm, whether T rigged or C rigged. Boring

Baitcasting reels
As noted practice is the best way to work on decreasing backlashes. I would also recommend a line treatment such as KVD Line and Lure treatment. It helps greatly in reducing backlashes and it makes it easier to get them out when you get one.

Crankin' Reels
Personally I use Abu Garcia 4600 reels for my crankbaits. The winch 3.8:1 for deep cranks and 5.3 for all others. Good, dependable and affordable reels

How many of you would buy a rod sight unseen?
Usually I wouldn't, but I did buy 2 rods from Acadia. It is a mail order house, some of you may have gotten the flyers in the mail. I needed a couple of general purpose rods for less experienced fishermen and I was real suprise and please with the rods. The only draw back is that they have a limited selection. On the positive side they have a 30 or 90 day money back guarentee so that doesn't hurt.

Biggest influence
I put down time on the water because that is a great teacher, but I do have an extensive library and do learn a lot by reading, but you have to be on the water to see if it will work.

B.A.S.S. and A.B.A. join forces
PutPut, I didn't say your comments were negative. I stated I didn't see but one negative comment on the BASS forum, and I also said I may have missed something, you commented that this board is like the ABA board it is either ABA or nothing. Well I guess some want this board to be the antiABA. It has been said that we can exchange opinions here, and I was just stating my opinion and observations. One thing that I notice on all boards that is easy to voice your opinion using a handle. It ensures atonomy (sp). I don't want to tick anyone off, but unless you have fished a trail and have personal experience about problems that have been taken to proper authorities within the organization, I don't see any reason to just slam any organization to make you or your trail look better. Again, JMPO

I wear a life jacket when
I'm an excellent swimmer and wouldn't think of running my boat over an idle without a PFD. You don't have to hit your head to go under. Jeans, shirt and shoes will soak up enough water to drag you down.
