AM I THE ONLY ONE?

Recommended Posts

EVERY YEAR, ONCE I TAKE MY BOAT OUT OF THE WATER, I START GETTING ANTSY AND START BUYING ALL SORTS OF FISHING RELATED TOYS. (LURES, SOFT PLASTICS, SCALE, AND MEASURING BOARD)

THERE IS TWO INCHES OF ICE ON MY CANAL AND LAKE ST. CLAIR IS STARTING TO FREEZE. THE EARLIEST I WILL BE ABLE TO USE ANY OF THIS STUFF IS LATE MARCH.

I'VE ALREADY SPENT WELL OVER $200.00 AND IT'S ONLY EARLY DECEMBER. AND I HAVEN'T EVEN GOTTEN MY NEW ROD AND REEL YET.

IS THIS NORMAL, OR DO I NEED SOME HELP?

IS IT APRIL YET?

do you think that if God had intended for people to live up there where the water gets hard, He would have made warm places like here?

the only hard water we get is in cubes when you put it in your tea! ;D

MOVE SOUTH!  Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Maltese Falcon,

I am like you.  I would spend hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars in the off season waiting for spring.  I solved the problem by getting into ice fishing.  Though I spent a lot of money on ice fishing equipment, it calms my spending down by allowing me to feed my fishing habits.  Actually, ice fishing is very fun and I almost look forward to the winter (that is "almost").  If you haven't done it already, give ice fishing a try.

I wish I only spent $200.00 when I'm not fishing in the off season........My number would probably have another zero attached to it.  ;D ;D ;D

I am the same way, i have already spent about the same, and I keep spending, to many good web sites to buy from, and cold keeps you in the house thinking about fishing instead of doing it.  You are normal.

LUCKY CRAFT MAN,

I DO ICE FISH ON OCCASION. EVER SINCE MY ACCIDENT IT'S TOO HARD FOR ME TO DRAG ALL MY EQUIPMENT OUT ON THE LAKE.

I HAVE A COUPLE THOUSAND DOLLARS IN ICE RODS AND REELS (12)

AUGER, SHANTY, HEATER, AND ICE JIGS.

ABOUT THE ONLY TIME I GO ICE FISHING IS WHEN MY SON COMES BY WITH HIS SNOWMOBILE.

Are you the only one? Are you kidding?

You are in fine company here.

I'm sitting here. looking at my latest new reel. I got the last of the close-out Daiwa Millionaire's from my local shop. 70 bucks. I don't need it, I already have two of them. But I couldn't let it just sit there could I? The poor thing could have ended up strapped to an ugly stick, fishing for catfish. I couldn't allow that to happen. I saved it it. Yeah, that's what I did. I rescued it. Now I'm trying to decide what rod to get.

I have my eye on a Daiwa Light & Tough topwater rod. But, I'm also looking at an Avid 6'8" medium ex-fast for lightly weighted tubes, super flukes and trick worms. Can't quite make up my mind. If I get both, I'm gonna have to get another reel. So, now what?

This is how a bass fisherman's mind works when it's winter-logged.

If you've only spent a couple of hundred, you are behind the curve. Better get caught up.

Cheers,

GK
