  1. Get a different girl friend or train her to behave.
  2. Try changing your retrieve speed and see if that will entice them
  3. So what makes you think that were not normal and the rest of the world needs the psychotherapist?
  4. One advantage to buying from a local dealer is if you need service most will take you ahead of those that didn't buy their boat there. It is the dealers way of saying Thanks.
  5. I hook everything to my crankin battery, 2 graphs, 1 flasher and all the aerators, bilge etc. If your battery is in good shape you shouldn't run it down. If you do you need to get it checked, your accessories don't draw that much amperage.
  6. Voicing that it is capitalizm isn't denying that something is over priced. It is just a fact of life, prices will stay up as long as people are willing to pay the price. Once the demand drops so do prices, just look at gas (going up daily). One thing that a lot of you guys may not know is that GY isn't just a capitalist he also recognizes the greatness of America. In April there was a welcome home tournament held in Texas for the returning troops to Ft Hood, Gary donated Senko's to be given out to each participant. There were well over 1000 people fished that day and along with that he had the Air Cav emblem put on the package. While it may seem like a little thing as a veteran it meant a lot to seem that kind of support for our military members. JMHO
  7. Abu Garcia (Ultra Mag I) and 4600 C5 8)
  8. You need to ride in as many boats as you can and find a boat you like, all of us have opinions and IMO they are all about the same as long as you stay with one of the major companies, it is preference and options. As far as electronics: Lowrance or Eagle Outboards: Mercury or Yamaha Trolling Motors: Motorguide My preference for Boats: ProCraft
  9. I took off my onboard charger because of a similar problem and went back to portables. A little more hassle but I know my batteries are full every morning.
  10. Get a good cooler and add a aerator to it and it will work fine. I would also add a bubbler aerator as well. When I had a small boat I hooked this system up and if worked fine. One thing I did is get the stand up type aerator and when I wired it in I left enough slack in the wire to set it overboard to fill the cooler. Get a piece of PVC and a hose and it fills and empties quick. Good luck
  11. If you use a color selector you will notice that depending upon the water clarity different colors are visible at different depths. Red is a short wave color so it is one of the first to disappear in clear water, but on the color selector scale it shows up well at greater depths in off colored water. Don't know why but it does. And for the naysayer, I've used a color selector since the late 80's and at times they will help you find a color that will help you catch fish. What once was old is new again.
  12. You cast out a soft plastic and just let it sit there. Don't move it, don't shake it, Don't breath on it. Boringgggggggggggggggggggggg, but it does work at times.
  13. Largemouth- 8lbs 6oz Smallmouth- 4lbs 12oz Both on Spinnerbaits
  14. Probably a 6-7 as well. There are still some techniques I could improve on. I do consistently catch fish, but also struggle for limits. So that is about right.
  15. Good for you. But it is called Capitalism. that and Freedom of Speech are what make this country the greatest Nation on the planet. 8)
  16. And remember to turn your unit to manual. If it is in the auto mode it doesn't always show the thermocline as well
  17. Just watch out for the puppy bream piles
  18. Excellent point Rebbasser. Checking your hooks is a necessity, I sharpen my hooks before every tournament just to make sure, I guess that's one reason I don't think about it when guys start talking about losing fish. It is a habit you need to get into
  19. Well since you got rid of your lead sled that means its not a Ranger. Let me guess: Bullet ???
  20. For just fun: topwater Numbers: Crankbaits BB:Spinnerbaits
  21. You also may be using to stiff a rod. Medium to medium light with a slow tip helps keep fish from pulling off.
  22. If you think it is bad throwing back a 15" slot fish, we have a number of slot lakes where you have to release all fish 14 to 24. It is a real killer to release a 6 lb fish. But it is a good practice to keep dinks if it is legal. We have seen a real boom in most of our slot lakes.
  23. I have asked a number of the bass I have caught if my smoking bothered them and they don't mind at all. More anti-smoking propaganda Smoke em if ya got em ;D
  24. Sounds like a starter then if there isn't any corrosion on the terminals and you have a hot battery. The clicking tells you your not getting enough current to turn the starter over. They aren't to expensive to get rebuilt. Good luck
  25. Cross their eyes
