  1. Try Bow to Stern by Line and Lure. http://www.rmrindustries.com/store/index.php Great stuff
  2. I just left the BASS forum, I didn't see but one post with a negative tone about ABA taking over the Weekend Series. Maybe I missed something.
  3. 70% pay back isn't all that bad and that is what both trails payout. I'm looking forward to fishing the Weekend series again this year, I hadn't plan on it until the change.
  4. You beat me to spreading the new JT. Great news for both organizations.
  5. You are very correct 2 wrongs don't make a right. If it bothers you so much why would you want to play into their hand. BTW flashing your badge is as childish as running by someone on plane while they are fishing. JMO
  6. Almost forgot, Med to Med Hvy with moderate action tip. I use the 7' Med for baits under 1/2 oz and the MH for the rest.
  7. I second the BPS crankin stix endorsement. I'm not putting down high end rods, but for me these rods offer great sensitivity, light weight and excellent balance. I carry 5 of them. 4 7'ers and 1 6'er.
  8. As reported the Ultimate Lure Savers won't help if you hang the lip in rocks. But around wood or brushy cover they will save you a lot of baits.
  9. I have to agree with RW. I don't know why but bass tournaments do attract some rude inconsiderate types. I have always tryed to remember what it was like when I was the one fishing from the bank and be thoughtful of others using the lake. I just wish the skiers would do the same.
  10. I use them on all my high end cranks and I haven't lost a single fish because of the split rings. I have caught striper over 10lbs and a flat head cat over 15 both on 10 lb split rings. They are expensive but I think they are worth it
  11. The only posts I have noticed being deleted are those that the discussions went from spirited to vulgar. I have been guilty of suggesting that if an angler is so disappointed with ABA that they may want to go fish somewhere else, my rational is that if you aren't happy why try and make everyone else unhappy as well. I for one have fished a number of tournament trails and have found they all have their faults. My position is if I don't like something about a trail I don't fish it again, but I don't go out complaining to the world. I guess I'm just one of the quiet minority. I'm sure this will raise a few hackles, but that's the way it goes.
  12. Well then I guess it would be better for you to fish with another organization. If it was me and a director was cheating I would be posting on the ABA board so someone who could fix it would see it. Good luck in your future fishing endevours
  13. Another place is www.barlowstackle.com
  14. Without a doubt
  15. First let me thank Matt Fly for the kind words. As with any organization you will have a few bad apples. I can't speak for them but I can say the organization is better run now then under past leadership. It is unfortunate that some of you have had bad experiences with ABA, but those examples are IMO very few and far between. If any of you would like to see the other side of ABA and are in the Texas area stop by any of our district tournaments. I think you will see the true spirit of the organization. Thanks for your time.
  16. From Texas and Bass fishing is my #1 priority.
  17. I use either M-F or Barlow's plastic and lure craft molds. For colorant I use M-F, and lure craft as well. Check out www.tackleunderground.com as well for information. Good luck
  18. It has been a while since I have bought an plastic, has the price gone down? It appears to me that it is cheaper than last year. Is me or has the cost gone down.
  19. I'm not sure where you live but Barlow's in Richardson TX sell molds from their store or catalog and internet.
  20. It is back up and running.
  21. GMan, I pour flukes but I don't add salt. If I want it to sink I use a nail wt, that way I can change up the rate as needed.
  22. I think they make a regular bullet weight. Check with Barlow's or Jann's Netcraft, they may carry one
  23. nb1226, Sorry your missing out on the fishing. But I want to thank you for your dedication. We are proud of all our veterans.
  24. I use Lowrance GPS products. I don't know much about Garmin, but I do know that Lowrance units are IMO the best on the market. Whether hand held or mounted. Check out I finders for hand held or a long list of combo units. Good luck.
  25. Use the used boat price calculator in the Tackle box link. http://bassresource.com/fish/boatprices.html
