Aluma,

Good idea.

With the Powhatan Lakes coming back; Sandy Creek Reservoir; the James between Huguenot Bridge and the Pony Pasture; any of the many ponds in the greater Richmond area, you should have a fun time.

Sorry, I don' have a jon boat.

Send pics and stories of how you guys do when fishing.  :)

The bass-jons is a good organization to be involved with.  I got my first exposure with them because my brother in law fishes with the original bass jons in Norfolk.  I fished a tourney with the Augusta County bass-jons last year and plan to fish their open tourney this year.  Good luck with the club and when you get a website up let us know!

Looks like a great club. I may be interested in joining. I fish all the smaller lakes in the Richmond area: Swift Creek Reservoir, Lake Amelia, Lake Nottoway, Powhatan Ponds, Powhatan Lakes, Sandy River Reservoir, Briery Creek Lake, and a lot of the smaller lakes on Fort Pickett. Just to name a few.

I know longer have a jon boat. However, I still fish these waters often. Some of them I know quite well.

Hi Guys.

I will be in Richmond the Oct 2 weekend, and I'm looking for some advice on good locations to bass fish from shore.

There are two of us, and we would be willing to share or pay most expenses if some boater wanted to take us out somewhere.

Thanks much.

How far out would be considered TOO far for this bass club?  I'm out of Culpeper which is like an hour or so North of Richmond, but I've not been able to find anything, as of yet, closer to home.  Least not on the internet.

I would be interseted in this club as well! more information would be great

Is the Club still running?  the site seems to be down.

I wouldn't mind joining the club myself.  One of the main reasons why I took a hiatus from fishing was because I didn't know anybody else who fished.  So joining a club or atleast some people who fish constantly would be cool to do.
