Got in first club today as a non boater. Going to be a good year I hope.

Hope you have a great year. Keep us posted about how it goes. Especially interested in your results and the overall experience of fishing from the back of the boat. What are the attitudes of the different boaters?

Thanks, I can't really tell what the other people in the club think yet. I just want to get the chance to fish so they can tell for themselves if I'm good or not.

I just joined my first club this year as well, also as a nonboater. I have actually been trying to get in this club for 2 years now. Seems like unless you have a boat its tuff to get into a club. Lukely 2 nonboaters decided not to fish this year so I jumped in. I wish you Luck this year and Im sure like myself you caint wait to show your skills from the "Back".

I joined the Western Bass Club back in 1996 and have never regretted it....the lessons learned and comraderie have been well worth the price of membership.

Joined my first club last year, had a great time and learned a lot. I was worried a little how a newbie non-boater would be treated but it was a lot of fun.

The one thing to keep in mind is don't overthink what you are doing. Keep it simple, and try to stick with things you have confidence in.

Also, talk to you boater before the tourney, make sure you know how he wants to do things. Each person is different, it his/her boat so its there rules.
