Well, let me preface this post by saying that before today, I had not caught a bass since early January. I have had quite the slump.

I went out today not expecting much. I zero'd at my first spot and made the move to the second. The water level is way up into the weedline. I started with a black/blue football jig and got two. I noticed that a few bass were chasing baitfish fairly close to shore, so I put on a lipless crankbait and started rippin. My total was 14, twelve of them being caught in about 40 minutes. The biggest was 3.5, the rest were around a pound or a pound and a half. Overall, it was a great day. I broke my slump with a vengence. No pictures though, because my camera's battery was dead.

Pictures or not, sounds like a great day. Way to come back from that bassless era. ha. Good luck next time.
