Stickmarsh/Farm 13 report.

Featured Replies

On 3-9, Mike and I headed down to the South end of the Farm to see what was going on. I wasn't feeling real confident, but if history is going to repeat itself for the 3rd year in a row, this is the time for it to happen.

We got a buck within the first 10 casts. Our confidence level began to rise after another quick fish. As we moved along on what we considered a perfect (speed) wind drift, we came upon a lone stump. This stump produced a 7 1/2 on a Senko.

A little while later Mike hits a 7 1/4 on a 10 inch Gambler worm.

Several hours pass and we were up to 22 fish. It was almost time to go as Mike hit a visible stump off to our right and I worked a Long A on the opposite side of the boat. I feel the boat move and hear a grunt from Mike as I turn around to see him fighting an 8.0 on the 10 inch worm.

We fish a couple more minutes and decide that it's time to pack it in. I decide to make ONE more cast while Mike puts his stuff away. This last cast produces a 9 1/2 on the Senko.

We fished from 11:30 till about 5:45 and had 24 fish total. The four fish over 7 pounds were ready to burst with eggs. Senkos, light Texas rigs, Traps, Long A's, and One Minus will produce fish.

Water level has held up better than most FL lakes and isn't a problem. The bite depends entirely on the wind direction/speed/water clarity. One good thing is that it will clean up in just a couple of days if the wind lays down. If the water you're fishing in looks like Chocolate milk, forget it!LOL Don (World's Worst Fisherman) and I returned on Sunday and didn't do much of anything because of the dirtied up water from Saturday's winds.

See you out there!!
