Dude.  Nobody is giving you static at the golf courses?  I get heat all the time.

Great fish.  I'm going to have to schedule an appointment to fish with you!!! ;D

nope not really today was really overcast and rainy so not to many golfers were playing through. nearly got pegged by a golf ball though..lol . i just try to stay out of there way and they dont give me to much flack. i just put in the numbers into the fish weight calculator here on bassresource and its supposed to weigh 10.67 lbs   8-). i wonder how accurate that thing really is?

The BR calculator is way too optimistic :-?.  Hard to tell from the pics but I'm thinking it's closer to 6-7 lbs?  In any case, it's a very nice Bass!

Dan

That is one nice fish!!  I can't believe you can fish lakes on a golf course!  All the courses here make you leave!!!

I have the twin sister on my wall. same deminsions mine was 8-2 but that was early march in STL.MO...

Nice fish! Most of the courses around here dont let you fish. So the only way to get the bass out is to get really good with a driver and projectile golf balls at schools of bass. ;D

Good fish, but not 10 like the BR calc suggest.  Probably 7.  Either way good fish.

I've often thought about stowing a 2 piece rod in my golf bag when playing.  Go out late in the evening, play a couple of holes, and spend the rest of the time fishing.

My friend lives on a course, has an acre pond in front of his house.  There are some goood fish in there.  Course ponds should be quite productive as the water should be fertile (given course runoff).

I have fished Congressional Country Club's ponds in Bethesda, Maryland.

I was allowed to fish it because they are one of my clients and I could only fish until the first tee time, around 8 AM.

I managed to extend the time to around 9 AM as I could fish the pond by the 15th green on the Blue Course before the players arrived.

I have been denied fishing all other golf course ponds.

So, if you want to fish the ponds I would think you could do so early in the morning before the golfers start to play the course.

If you have the ability to fish a golf course, cherish it. I am lucky enough to have access to a 36 hole course. It is extremely productive.

  • No fishing pressure

  • Healthy, strong fish

  • Well maintained banks

What more could you want?

Very nice bass they look really healthy, ive fished a few gold course ponds near me and have caught some nice bass but man your fish are amazing, keep hitting those spots and good luck man  :)

If you all would get up as early as us greenscutters you could catch a lot of fish on golf course ponds. Being a golf course superintendent, I have caught fish on every course I have worked at. Fifteen minutes here and there, lunch, whenever. I have carried a rod in my bag many times when playing a scramble that are usually sssllllllloooooooowwwwwww. People usually laugh when they see a rod in my bag, but change their tune when I catch 2 or 3 fish when waiting to tee off. Speaking of which, I am at work right now, I might just go make a couple of casts right now.

By the way, nice fish!

Yo Anglin101 I bet that golf ball was no accident.  I have a feeling you were targeted.  Next time, moon 'em.  ;D

Al

Yea I was with him and that golf ball hit the water about 3 feet from him. That bass was ridiculously large, Anglin101 is a pretty big dude, so when he holds fish he makes them look small. If my skinny self was holding it, it would look like the FL record lol.
