Super User burleytog Posted March 24, 2007 Super User Share Posted March 24, 2007 Picture Muddyman trying for the first time to use the steering pedal on his bow-mount trolling motor, and complaining that the faster he wanted to go the more to the right he turned. That may be the funniest thing I have ever read. ;D

I know we all want to read everything that each of y'all have to say. The way it is right now, there is a real risk that a great story could be overlooked because "The Forkers" are posting in several different forums and using different threads. My intent is to assure that all Lake Fork features are read and appreciated by all the members untill the official journal is created. avid

t bend tex
my wife and I were home by 7 pm friday. A great fishing trip-one of my best- not in quantity and quality of fish, but quantity and quality of fellowship!! Our best was 4-11. We went out on our farm pond saturday evening and I caught a 6+. we didn't have a scale, rule, camera, or livewell, so we did a very conservative estimate of weight. we hope all the folks felt a warm welcome from TEXAS! hope to see all of you next year- and some more folks too. Guest the_muddy_man
WOW WHAT A TRIP: the Boss and the Moderators are definitely first class men and thats what makes this place tick. I dont wanna give up too much until the Video comes out. Special thanks to LBH for being a great friend to Fluke master,Fletchero,Long Mike,TbendTex,Ron(best fishing partner on the planet) ALPSTER FOR MAKING IT ALL POSSIBLE Catt (never got to use 1/2 of what you sent me but i was grateful and humbled by your gift RISK KID living proof that all Ynakee Fans ain't that bad and RW who officially deputized me into the SHIMANO Posse by presentinng me with a Stradic 1000 and i in turn Mooked one of his Posse by giving them a PFLUEGER PRESIDENT.Glenn and Keri for being incredible period.Brent From Alurring baits for his unbelievable genorosity and for the funniest 3 hours I ever spent in a boat. And for three special ones AVID: who couldnt make it but called daily to root me on. Road Warrior and Risk Kid who provided rest stops along the way and opened their houses to us Mooks ALPSTER you da BOMB a ride couldnt have done it in better company And to all who attened The two moist Imporatnat things I learned were 1) Stick with what I know. I got overwhelmed when I saw the lake, Mat Fly and RW were the first to tell me to pick a small part and fish it as a lake. Then I started by going to braid, fishin lizzards and spinner baits and throwing at bedding bass, So many helped to make sure I caught a fish but they could teach me a style but not proficancy I ALREADY HAVE A WAY OF FISHING IM PROFICIANT at!!! I was fishing with Fluke and asked what he does at home, he said same thing I m doin here and thats when the light went off Long Mike was kind enough to give me a seat in his boat, he took me to a smalll cove. I replace the braid with my usual mono and a trigged green ribbon tail worm(Brent From *** gave me his product for this) And before you knw it I had 4 bass, being 3.7lbs TOO BAD I FIGURED IT ON THE LAST DAY but i learned a lot, from fellas who took time from tehir own fishing to teach me and I have gotten my baitcasting much improved!!!!!!! 2) Ricks boats SuckS!!!!!!!!!!!! more on this later what an $#$@ Good to be back now time to catch up on what is going on fellas

Super User Long Mike Posted March 26, 2007 Super User Share Posted March 26, 2007 Welcome home Muddy Ain't it great to know that you are going to sleep in your own bed and on your own pillow for a change? Check your e-mail. I sent you a photo of your almost PB. BTW, I'm glad I was able to put you on the bass. It was either pure dumb luck or pure dumb luck - and I am positive about that. Go to the "My Outings" section to see what few posts about the trip that have yet to appear. With few exceptions, and I'm one of them, almost all the data has been sent to LBH, and he is "Bogartin" the info, photos, movies, etc. until he is sure that he can publish a documentary that is sure to win him an Academy Award. Let's all hope and pray that he doesn't choose Rap or HipHop as his background music. But, you can never tell what youngsters will do. BTW, Triton21 has a couple of really neat posts.
