Hello to all my internet buddies. I spent the entire day out on the river again.

I neglected my precious smallmouth fishing to persue more pre-spawn largemouth.

I concentrated all my efforts on a 150 yard stretch of shoreline where I know these

fish stage, and eventually spawn. I used a variety of techniques and made repeated

casts to provoke the strikes I got. I was very lucky to land every fish that bit today.

Strikes were few and far between, and it was one heck of a workout, but it was a blast!

First bass of the day on a chatterbait

Second one on a spinnerbait. Measured just over 19"

Got these next two on a jitterbug. The strikes were incredible!

Last fish of the day fell for a #7 shad rap. This one measured 20 1/2"

Feel like going back tonight?  I can be there in less than 3 hours.  

Keep up the good work.  Just makes me want to fish more.

Wow man them are some beauty LM's, but if I lived close to the New man I'd be there everyday hunting for those huge brown bass
