Pond fishing this weekend

Featured Replies

The pond at my subdivision has alot of snot grass, weeds whatever it is.  There for a while the snot grass was terrible.  Now it is mostly gone.  Most of the pond is shallow so alot of grass with pockets.  Geese and ducks out of the wazoo.  The bank is mostly goose crap.  d**n birds! Ok so,

This weekend I thought I would try a slug-o.  Never tried them.  I would throw them behind the pockets, give them a little jerk-pause and BLAMO!  Caught 32 bass.  All were peanuts.  Around 1 1/2 lbs or less.  But was fun.  I have been told there are larger bass in this pond.  Will be keeping my eye out for him/her.

Tough conditions to fish around for sure.  I hate it when birds(but especially geese) are in and around a pond.  Ya did good though youngun!
