Three Bass, One Lunker

Featured Replies

Well as many of you know by now I have only tried senkos once and didnt even get a bite with them. After seeing my friend catch a nice bass on senkos i thought id try them again. This time my luck was much better. I was throwing the senko for about 25 minutes with no luck when i got a big hit. I let the fish take it till my line was tight and set the hook hard. From the start I knew it was a big fish. Put up a big fight and I was able to land it. Here he is.

I also caught two smaller fish that day that were about 1 and a half pounds. One on a senko and one on a bass assassin. Here is the senko fish. He looks a lot bigger than he was in this picture. Guy who took it obviously knew how to take a good picture.

Here is me releasing the big fish....

On another not I have noticed my fishing has realy improved since I joined this community. I seem to be catching less fish but the size of my average fish realy has gone up. Im trying new things now that seem to work for bigger fish and am learning from other people in this community....

Yeah its a koi. Either a koi or some kind of wild strain goldfish. I got him at the same local pond I was fishing at in this report. I did a report on catching him in the "other fish species" section. I also released that fish as well like I do with all my fish.
