I went out right before dark last night for a few casts. I caught about 5 fish around the 2-3 lb mark in a n hour. I new it was a big one when it hit-It moved a lot of water when it swirled on it. I crank my drag down tight all the time and it slipped a bit when it ran- It jumped about 4 times-Then when it got close to shore it got in some sticker bushes-and had to go get it -OUCH but it was worth it. Toward dark I get out the black bait -during the day I throw the white one at this time of year. Like I said I caught about 5 around the 2 -3 lb size-they were on the edges of the lily pads. Pulled 6 freakn deer ticks off me after that-I hate those things. That fish was broad-probibly around 6 1/2 to 7 lbs-remember we are in NJ thats a good one here. Then again there are no bad ones

They are the best.  I caught a nice big 5+lbs one early Saturday morning.  Man did she bend the crap out of the thing.  Straightened it up and hauled in 4 more nice 2 1/2-3lbs fish.  All on a 1/4oz white/chart with blood red hook and red spinner.

These things flat out rock.
