Smallest Bass Ive caught all year

Featured Replies

Everyone always talks about the big-uns,well heres a change of Pace. Got this one last night just as it was getting dark.

The Spinnerbait I caught it on is pictured with it, For a minute I thought I had a clump of weeds.Caught it on a medium heavy rod. Fish mustve taken it deep because it started to bleed. I rinsed off the blood and it swam away with vigor.

looks like a fighter!!

Is that a Palm's flame I see in that pic T-rig?

Nope, it's a Daiko Gallet Detour Edition GDES-622L. Great little rod for drop shotting!

Oh by the way guys I got you all beat.....Check out this monster....

Mine's smaller! (Avid don't even think about it  ;D ;D)

Nice little pond you got there fivepound.  Where are you located?  Florida?  I'd love to have an open pond like that not covered by algae (only ones we have around here).  We don't have many open ponds with a lot of shoreline access unless I feel like driving 30-40 minutes north or south just to fish a pond... rather go to the river or lake though.

I live in San Diego California. That is one of two ponds located by my house. That pond in the picture is actually a pretty good size lake. It is actually 3/4th of a mile to walk around it. That pond is a 5 minute drive from my house. The other pond is much smaller and is surrounded by reeds yet there are many openings in the reeds you can fish from. There is an island in the middle and lots of structure. The lake in the picture does have quite a bit of algae on it in other parts of the lake not shown in the picture. Also the lake in the picture does not have a lot of structure to fish however it has many deep drop offs.
