Classic devils horse

Featured Replies

I got the ok from the Physical Therapist to do an hour of fishing from the shore.

Do you recognize the lure I caught this bass on?

the lure is the devils horse in color AF1310B.  Yup the mythical "discontinued" color of

chrome/black back/orange belly that is supposedly discontinued and fetching premiums on ebay.

I got it from Wal-mat for 7 bucks.

That's two supposedly discontinued lures that members of this forum have found in plentiful supply at Wally World.

Could it be that Wal-Mart carries so much weight that the lure makers will create any pattern for them?

I don't know if that is what's happening, but I can't imagine Smithwick not creating lures at Wal-Marts insistance.

The Wally world franchise has to sell more lures than all other venues combined.

At any rate here it is.

I also bought a 1/2 oz chrome/black back that took an orange Sharpie very well and now I have the larger size in the Devils Horse man's favorite pattern.

Watch out bassies...................avid's ridin' his Devils Horse into town........

Classic Avid pic too, nice fish  Nice pic of Norma Jean also. ;)

Avid,

It might be that I just can't see it in the first pic. Did you take the prop off the front end? I have sure heard a lot of folks swear by it...

                                           As Ever,

                                            skillet

BTW nice fish, GREAT pic of Norma Jean ;)...

Great to have you back in the game man!!

I would think, especially with the way WM has been shifting their fishing inventory between stores, that these are simply lures that have been sitting for a good long time.  Nice find, I prefer the heddon version myself but they all work.  :)  (yup, and pretty much in ANY color :) ) (My ever increasing opinion, lol)

Color is bunk.   :o:)

So, how did the shoulder react to an hour of casting?  Feelin it today?

Heal up buddy :)

PS- why is the picture SOOOO clear???  You starting something new?? ;D :P  :)

Glad to see you back in the game, my friend. Now, don't overdo it. Ya hear?

Nice picture, for a change.

Cheers,

GK

LOL,

Yes i'm back in the game, but barely,

The shoulder started hurting so I stopped.  Right at the 60 minute mark.

I had to ice it down last night, and stretch it out this morning.

Still a little sore, but no damage.

I'll take it slow.  No sense it blowing the race this close to the finish line.

I have no idea about the wal mart policy regarding these baits.  I only know that they have a j hook full of them.

I have a fountain pen on ebay now.  I wonder if I should buy the lot of dh's and sell them.

Nah, but it's a thought.

I caught the bass in a one acre pond that sits beside city hall.  I swear every mudpuddle in Florida holds bass.  8-)

Oh and the pic came out better because

1. the sun was shining.

2. I actually remembered to position the shot so the sun was in my face.

Sorry guys about the good quality photo.   :-[

I'll do worse next time

Welcome back!......

Wait a minute........you've caught a bass since I have :o.......I'd better hook to the Toucan...........I'm slipping! ;D
