So today SUCKED.

Fished from 7am-5pm .

1 2lb bass after 3 hours of fishing.

2 hours later, 9lb catfish on a jig.

Then about an hour before 5pm I was throwing my basstrix and... WHAM BAM! I felt a hard THUD.

Set the hook, rod loads up, I make one turn of the reel, fish jumps, spits my bait and my line goes slack. TERRIBLE way to end a day. I only saw the fish for a split second, but if it was FOR SURE over 6lbs, and probably in the 6-8lb range.

here's the catty.

I dont get how you would consider a day you catch a 9LB fish a bad day even if its a species your not going after.....

Anyway I ended up catching a cat today as well. Was going after bass and got a few in the 1-2 lb range then switched over to catfish for my last half hour on the lake.....

my dink catfish :)

It would have been an OK day by my standards if I hadn't lost that one fish.

But now you know where she lives and that's 80% of the equation

Once you said that, I felt a bit better. Thanks man, hopefully I'll catch her.

You did good man and I'm sure you'll get here again! ;) All I caught yesterday were 4 dinks and a 5lb. pike.
