Hello it has been awhile sence i have lasted posted but i am always reading.Recently me and my girl friend decided it was time to leave our home ( michigan). We spent some time deciding were to go and finaly we chose Richmond Va , before we left  all i could think about was " Can i hunt and fish in Va like i can at home , are there fishin holes on all sides of me?"Well  we dove in head first took the drive and set up shop here in Va and so far i am having alot of fun fishing.I have actuly been able to catch more bass here then back home , i think it is due to the fact that the lakes i fish (i call them ponds , i guess cuz there so small compaird to lake saint clair) are stocked woth bass bream and catfish.I have two spots i fish at that are in apartment buildings and man i have cought the biggest bass i have ever cought in my life sence i have been here it is amazing.I broke my only good pole last week right in half on a catfish , so i been using an ultra light wich is still just as fun =)All i can think about is getting my first check and going to dicks and buying a REAl pole i have been using poles and reels from the 70's my whole life hahah.Anyway i just wanted to rant a bit on how muich fun bass fishing i have been having sence my girl doesn't enjopy my story's

I have been fishing every day for 45 min + as much a si can squeeze in since the apartments are pretty much next store to the house were staying in.Well when i first found these forums i totaly stoped using live bait i just liked the idea of fake bait more for some reason and i fell in love with plastics. When i moved here and found the lake i started using live bait again just cuz i didnt know the water and i wanted to get a feel for it i guess. So the first week i was pulling out something around 30+ bream a day with in that week i cought 1 bass and 1 catfish. So that week end me and the home owner went out to this spot he knew of with some lunkers we bought some worms and headed out. When we got there he opend up his box and i seen a pack of some GULP! natrual worms ,So i ask him if i can use 1 he says sure and BOOM i get my mojo back.I have only used senko's up intill that point but now i have a new respect for the GULP! worms. He gave me the last three he had and i ended up using them upintill now ( about a week) i have 1 left but it is pretty ripped up.I get my first check monday and i plan on feeding the bait monkey heavly gonna snag a new rod and reel and as much plastic as i can afford.I was thinkin about maybe pickin up that cavitron (sp) the buzz bait i see on here.

Well i didnt mean to torture any of the people that actuly do read this entire post in short i just wanted to say so far i am enjoying the 10 mile  radius  around the house( Richmond Va) i have been able to explore. If anyone here is from Va and maybe knows some good rivers or lakes around here Let me know!

Kudos to you for giving up live bait!  Artificials are all I use for Bass.  Good luck in the new State!
