Double whammied

Featured Replies

The day before yesterday at about 12:30 my trolling motor quit. One hour later my big motor blew the power head. Other than that the fishing was pretty darn good. Fortunately, the big motor did get us back to the ramp.

The trolling motor was a simple repair, the big motor was replaced with a new on. So, you all want to know what it's like being a guide?

Bummer.

Of course the fishing was good, these things don't happen on a SLOW day  ::)

Well George,

At least you knew how to handle the situation. Some of us might still be floating on the lake waiting for someone to help us!

Well George,

That would be me, of course there is always someone on the lake that will tow you. I must have seen the same guy at my lake last year towing different people on 5 different occasions.

I have had the double whammy but not to that extent..I took this 300 pound freind of mine fishing... he leaned back on my passenger seat and broke it right off the hinge. Same day my big motor stopped working on full throttle!    :-/

It wouldn't be Murphy's law if they didn't happen at the same time.

Good luck George, even though I figure you got it covered.
