slayed em on Lake Avid today.

wind was blowing pretty good but the water was surprisingly clear.

Couldn't have asked for a better wind direction....Blowing from the ramp straight down the lake.

I positioned the canoe like those steelhead guys do and drifted at a perfect pace down the shoreline.

The ratltrap couldn't miss............

Went something like this..

cast............reel.............bam...........there he is.............yeah baby!!!!

caught 15 in five hours with most of the action coming in the first two hours.

I couldn't help but sing my favorite country song for moments like these

"Oh Lord it's hard to be humble when your perfect in every way"

Yo RW......you woulda loved it.   I sounded just like Waylon Jennings.  :-/

Nothing of any size to brag about....but a numbers day is almost as good.

Congrats on a fun day and knocking them down like bowling pins.  It is still nice to read Avid's posts as we are freezing our fannies off in central Virginia and not doing any fishing.
