Cool looks like i caught my first goldfish!

I believe that's the most mature post I've ever read on here. :)

Way to go 5lb!  A lot of guys (even old guys) would have argued back about where this thread should have went, or what kind of fish it was, but your responce was very mature.  You're wise beyond your years.

Well you see i didnt want to get involved in the arguement about where it went. Didnt want to make it worse.

Also it seem it must be a goldfish. When I look at all the pictures of koi carp I have caught none of them have the long fins that this fish has. Fish Chris did a good job explaining the long fins to me and everyone else...

If that is in fact a goldfish then that is a pig!

No it is not a pig.  Its a goldfish like Fish Chris said ;).

Not to be a dick...but why would you fish for a goldfish?  LOOOOL  ;D

I was actually fishing for big 5LB+ carp. I was using corn for bait. My intent was to catch a nice carp. Those things put up a great fight on spinning gear. I guess I caught the goldfish on accident.

Carp grow to very large sizes often. The koi in my avatar was 12 LBS 11oz and I have caught them bigger than that.
