Just a Rediculous Fishing Day

Featured Replies

Today me and my friend went to a big pond in a housing complex on a golf course and tried out some fishing. I started out on a spinner bait and he used an inline spinner. After he catches a brim I switch over. Well the whole day he catches 4 bass and 1 brim with his biggest bass 4 or 5 pounds and I couldnt even get one d**n bite. Same lure and everything, same time, same pond. I usually outfish him every time but today was just embarassing for me. I also tried the great senko every one talks about and catch nothing. Oh well just wanted to put some of my frustration out there since this may be my last fishing trip for a while.

Sorry to hear about your day! Maybe you had too big of line on your pole oposed to your friend, or a different presentation! Either way hopefully you're next trip will result in a better outcome!

who knows but we just threw a spinner out and reeled it in and i didnt have any bites.

Thats ok, let him get all the fish in practice then you can do all the catchin when the flag drops for the money. Anyway, better luck next time. It's always good to pratice a little hummility, keeps you honest right?? Never Stop

X2. It happens like that sometimes!

Welcome to bass fishing and humility, lol!

I dunno that sounds like a good day to me. Even when I get skunked by a friend or family member Im always stoked for them just the same as I would be if I were on the fish myself. At least you know theres fish in that spot, so go back and gettem!

Try a stop and go retrieve with your spinnerbait. Worked for me this weekend. Also try slow rolling one parallel to the shore. See if you can pick off some of those bedding bass. My hits came within just a couple feet from shore this weekend on a 1/2 ounce white spinnerbait.
