Guys,

I went to the local public ponds near my house. The fish were cruising in pairs, feeding on bluegill. I threw everything, chatterbaits, senkos, flukes, and couldn't get bit. Then I got creative. I checked the guidelines for using bluegill as bait, and when hooked on rod and reel, they are legal.

So...

I put on a small piece of plastic worm and quickly caught a small 'gill. I then rigged it up on a larger hook and spotted a large bass in the water.

A few minutes later, and this!

I was so excited! It tipped my digital scales at 3 lbs even, 2 ounces away from my PB. It was a great catch nonetheless.   8-)

Congrats! That's a nice fish, better then what I've caught this year (except for a 22lbs carp on a texas rigged robo worm)!
