Lucky Craft Flat CB opinions

I'm looking for the smallest profile deep diving crankbait.  I'd like to find one that dives 12' to 14' and another that will dig 18' to 20'.  I've got the Rapala deep-down series but I'd like to find a couple with a smaller body.  What opinions are there about the Lucky Craft Flat CB series, especially the D-12 and D-20?  The price isn't of concern, but how they run and the max depth they'll achieve is.  Thanks.

Well, I'm not sure how small you're looking for, but the Lucky Craft D-12 does not fit my definition of small for the relative depth it achieves.

The Poe's Competition Cedars 4400 has a similar sized body and can hit 16+......quite a bit deeper than the LC.

I don't know of any crankbaits with a small body that will actually dive 20'. The smallest that come to mind that I've used are the Poe's Competition Cedars 4500 LR and a Big M Cedar Sub......which I've hit 22'+ with.

Keeping in mind that these lures will spend enough time hitting the depth zone that I'm describing.....and I crank using 20 lb. braid that has the diameter of around 8 lb. test mono.

I've actually hit more than 18' with my Comp Cedars 4400, but I consider it a usable deep crankbait for depths around 15'.

Another bait to look into for the low-mid teens would be the Imakatsu IK-400. Very small bait for the depth that it achieves - - and hands down gets the award for best casting deep crank I've ever used in life.......that little bait is a rocket.

The body is quite a bit smaller than the LC D-12.

Lastly, the Daiwa Hyper Crank Ti (the biggest one) will dive into the mid-teens easily. Also has a way-cool dual line-tie that lets you switch from a mid-wobbling bait to a tight one (I like the tight one a lot). Casts super well.

You might want to consider a Silver Buddy as an alternative.

8-)

Another one you might try is the Jackall Muscle Deep 15 Plus size, cast like a rocket, has a small profile, runs a similiar depth as a Norman DD 22 but is a lot easier to crank. It was my most productive deep crank this year, especially the Chartruese Shad color.

Thanks for your suggestions.  I'm going to try a couple of them and see how they attract the smallies in my lake.

RW... I occasionally fish silver buddies but these cranks I want to bump rocky bottom that has very sparse weed growth.  When retrieved as a crank Silver Buddies and Little George lures either catch every weed in the path or snag in the rocks.  Metal lures work better when I jig them more vertically.  Thanks for the suggestion.

I like the muscle 10+ and 15+ as well as the LC Flat CB 12 and 20, those cover my deep cranks- I have a couple colors in each of them. I chuck and wind til the fish tell me what they want-  They are generally big fish "kicker" baits for me.  If I don't have a big limit I will find deep rocky points and use these baits-
