Have you ever known you were going to catch a nice fish on the next cast?

Featured Replies

The fishing has been pretty slow on my lake this week.  Except for the monsterous 8" bass I got to win part of the *** contest, I had not caught anything else.  I even tried for 3 hours between Monday and last night with a worm on a bobber to catch a blue gill to try as bait.  Only thing I hooked was a huge snapper turtle!  You know it is bad when you can even catch a blue gill!!

Anyway I was walking the bank last night, moving from one pipe to the next when I saw a nice disturbance on the surface about 10 feet off shore.  As I got closer I saw it was a school of small fish in a tight ball.  I KNEW the only fish in this lake that could cause bait fish to act in such a manor were bass.  I KNEW all I had to do was cast my worm about 2 feet past them and let the worm fall down and I would catch a nice bass.

So I made the cast, let it fall, and 3 seconds later I had a nice 3 pounder on the line!

I love it when you KNOW that you are going to get a nice fish on the next cast!

I predict I will catch one everytime!!!

But my luck is no where close to your's HAHA ;)

yea ive done that a couple times mostly im just joking around and then actually catch one(usually in ponds).  But in lakes when im casting to submerged trees i either say "thats either a fish or im losing this lure" and one or the other usually happens haha

I predict I will catch one everytime!!!

X2

;DBig fish expected every cast ;D

Done it a couple times.

Once years ago in Arkansas a friend and I pulled into this little cow pond (pay $2.00 to fish it) and just looking at the pond I bet him a beer that I'd catch a fish in the first five casts. Caught a nice 4 lber on the first cast (buzzbait).

Other time was the fish in my avatar. Put alot of work getting my new boat ready, it was leaking so I called it a day and while it's draining I make a cast near the ramp saying 'all that work for the boat, now watch me catch something from shore.' Bingo.  ;D
