MS Slammer, Rago Rat & Misc. fish

Featured Replies

Here's a quick vid of the last few afternoon trips. Caught my first RI Pike on the Rago Rat. Not the biggest, 3.12lbs on the digi, but still alot of fun fighting him in the current. I have to teach the bestnetmanaround how to fill the screen when taking video and how to keep recording ;D

Funny thing occured while out yesterday. Water was pretty darn cold, we see this snake swimming across the river and think "Wow never saw-em swim in such water temps". This is the main reason for the post!

25 yards or so down stream I see what I believe to be a small muskrat jump in on one side of the river and start swimming across to the otherside. As we get closer, I realize he looks a bit odd with something on it's back? Low and behold it's a grey squirrel ;D I've seen them fall out of trees and swim right back to shore, but I have never seen them swim in such cold water, never mind going against current like this, which is about 30 yards across, Pretty cool to see.

Theres an idea for a new swimabit "Gray Squirrel".  Nice video by the way, and great fish.
