Nice day on the local lake

Featured Replies

Warm and sunny here on the treasure coast.

Spent a few hours on my local lake.

Caught a dozen mostly on c-rigged senkos, one on a popper and three on a sluggo.

This guy was about the average size.  Still skinny, but they will fatten up soon.

He was fun to catch.  I saw him swim up from about 10 feet to gulp down the sluggo.

Nice fish, Avid.  I see you're still holding the camera out with your hand.   ;)  I never think I'll center the picture correctly holding the camera out so I always hold the fish out at arms length when I'm in these situations without a place to setup my camera.  So I never end up in my pictures.

Nice fish, glad to see someone is catching them,The weather in Indiana has been all over the place lately!

The ol' Sluggo ay!  Those used to produce quite well in the bubble gum color and apparently still do.  I haven't used them in years but it's good to see someone fishing the oldies.

By the way, where the heck have you been? Rehab? Photography school?

Avid, great report and super pics.

On the other hand, I fished a friend's pond today at lunch time and caught one catfish.

So as you enjoy the beautiful Florida weather, we are getting ready for some cold weather beginning on Sunday up here in Virginia.

Please keep sending those pics to keep our hopes alive for next year.  :)
