First fish of 09 I can say I am proud of. Got him on the 3rd of January Caught this catfish bread and he put up a great fight on 10 Lb test and medium spinning gear. He made 3 nice long runs as well as flopped on the top of the water. It was dark at the time and I could hear his tail slapping the water when he was probably 30 feet out. I wish I had a scale for this fish. I would guess he was in the 7-8 LB range though.

Not caught in 2009. This was my very last fish of 2008 and he was a good one. Good way to end a year. Caught on December 30th

You are an absolute pro at catching those carp.  I can't wait to see what 09 brings us.

Looks like you've been having a lot of fun. Where in California are you fishing? Keep us up on your fishing exploits.

Living vicariously.

Killer way to start the year!
