Tussahaw Reservoir

Featured Replies

My buddy and I went out to Henry County, Georgia's new reservoir and we did alright.  I caught 5 lmb and he caught only one.  We were in the same boat and fishing the same spots.  The only difference that I can think of would be our lures. I was using a Zoom 6 inch pumpkin seed with a chartreuse U-tail while he was using a watermelon seed finesse worm.  Anyone have any reasons why I might have caught more fish?

They were agressive and didn't need to be enticed with a finesse worm. Or your simply the better fishermen.  ;D ;D

It's all about presentation. I have many friends I go out with and they fish the same baits or different and then we'll switch and I'll boat more fish, I think it's all about presentation.

Thanks guys.  I have a hard time figuring out how to know what kind of presentations the fish like with each kind of plastic.

It's my experience that the fish in Tussahaw will eat anything right now when they are eating.  All you have to do is get a bait in front of one. So, I guess you just got your cast in front of more fish.

Lucky Henry county folks :)

I don't anticipate Cobb county opening any new reservoirs within it's borders anytime soon :)

Well, we were there for 6 hours. I guess they may not have been on the day we were there.

Yeah, man, I got pretty lucky, as they built the reservoir about ten miles from my house.   ;D  You probably shouldn't expect new reservoirs in Cobb. :(
