Juniata River Muskrat springs 3-29

Featured Replies

Caught three bronzebacks and 1 foul hooked carp today.  Was only there for 2.5 hours.  Here are some pics.  Two bass nailed a silver and black shad rap and the third one (with fingers in pic) took a black 3in. gitzit.  Awesome day.

Those are some nice lookin smallies ya got there youre making me jealous I havent had the time to get the boat on the potomac yet to catch any brown fish

Nice work mikesjet!

I see you've been fishing my old home waters! I grew up in Thompsontown and fished it quite often growing up. There aren't as many spots to fish in that stretch as there used to be (especially below Thompsontown). The river is probably 2-3' lower than it used to be.  :'(

Leave it to my little brother! LOL! He probably knows that stretch of the river better than I do any more.  ;)

You are very welcome!

That area is almost always a good area, especially when you go the whole way up past the springs. Thats some of the nicest water in the river anymore.
