So My brother and I head out today into a windy Lake with Hopes of catching some Big Bass. We start the day out fast catching 15 or so fish within the first hour. I pull up onto a spot that has a fisherman who has just been skunked loading up his equipment to call it a night. I cast out a crankbait to a shallow area and within five feet my bait gets hit by a bus. I thought for a second I had snagged on a tree, Until I felt the most violent head shake EVER! I fight the fish to the Boat with many awe insipiring jumps that head the Skunked fisherman on the bank Screaming. Just as I get the Bass to the boat and really see how MASSIVE this beast is she gets one good head shake in, and boom shes gone. This fish was easily 10Lbs + without a doubt. After slamming into a few more fish we called it a night. As we are returning home I just Keep thinking too myself WHY? On April 1ST did this have to happen to me.  :'( Good news is I know where she lives and will be back for her. Here is some of the Babies we caught. Biggest went 6lbs.

Man, that's one bad deal.  Looks like you at least made up for it with some other good fishin' though. 8-)

Seriously tho...nice outing.  When I was on leave in FL (my real home) I had a big girl break me off right at the boat quicker than I could loosen my drag.  At least you know where she lives.

Hey when you find some spots that are RED HOT, you do what you gotta do to keep it somewhat secret.  ;D ;D

But I will tell you one thing, this Bass was giant.  I still cant get over the loss.  :'(

Those look like prespawn fish still. I thought they were spawned out there.

Despite the loss of the big mama it looks like you had an excellent outing!  Go back and get her.  

Also picture #4 from the top, that fish was caught minutes after losing the BIG GIRL. You can see I how happy I was. ;D ;D  Its okay though I'M gonna go looking for her today and tomorrow.
