DD yesterday and loads of fish today! Pics inside!

I'll start with yesterday.  It was a beautiful day but I didn't catch one single fish in the two hours I headed out yesterday evening.  I did run across something sad though.  I was fishing an 8 acre pond that has lots of big bass in it.  Although I had not saw one I have heard of several 10+ pounders being caught in the last couple of years.  It looks like someone must have caught this one because it has only been dead a few days and looked healthy in size.  I didn't pick it up but did get a measurement of almost 26" long with a huge girth.  I put a fluke beside it so you can get an idea of how big she actually was.  I hope there are many others like her in there.

On a happier note.  I went fishing this morning at a 505 acre boy scouts owned lake that has VERY limited access and only around the dam area.  I've been fishing this lake since I was a kid so over 25 years.  I've pulled many 7-8 pound bass from here as well as my dad pulling a 12 pounder out of there a couple years ago.  I fished for two hours and came away with over 30 bass and the majority of them were 2-4 lbs.  There was another guy fishing there and he landed an 8-8 according to my scales and it was 23 inches long.  None like this for me today though.  It was still a great day of fishing!

Yup, also read about you losing that Fat Free Shad; at least it wasn't a Lucky Craft.  On a happier note at least you got into the fish good.

Good job on a 30 fish day. I don't care if they were 1/2lbs. 30 fish is 30 fish, and that's always fun.

It was a hot day for everyone, as I've read on other boards here in Florida.  I did well too, apx 22" by the length of my shoe.  Bait of the day....horny toad
