I caught my first bass on a jig and yum chunk.

It was also the first bass I had ever caught with a baitcaster.

This was a huge win for me.

What is funny, is that we are able to post these on bassresource and you know that other anglers can appreciate it. I got a blank stare from my wife when I told her. She was really impressed. (kidding)

haha mine is the same way! I catch a hawg or something and the first thing I do when I get home is run over to her with the camera and get a blank stare in return.

Whole different feeling, using a bait caster.My little lady asks how fishing is, how big, first one, everything, but Dinner is a fend for your self night.

Great job, dude. I still haven't had any success with a jig. I don't really throw them much cuz I ALWAYS loose them. And today is my wifes birthday, I asked Lwhat do you wanna do today." She says,"I wanna go fishing, and catch a small mouth!"

LOL, my wife just agrees with everything i say(fishing related) in hopes that i will go away! CONGRATS on your victory too! A jig/pig is a very versatile bait that works year round if you know the when/where and hows of it!
