good night 17 bass total. 3 hours

Featured Replies

Went out sunday evening with my dad at one of my favorite nyc public parks (Wofle's Pond Park). We caught 17 bass total, my dad caught nine, and I pulled in 8. My dad and I are always competing, on who catches the most every time we go fishing, which is pretty much everyday! Who ever wins usually rubs it in on the ride home! We were wading along the banks on the deeper end of the lake, and the bass were on feeding frenzy chasing the bluegill. We were using bluegill patterned poppers and zoom super flukes. We were tied 8 to 8 and it was getting pretty dark, with a full moon glaring down. By the way I stumbbled in the water and was pretty soaked and cold but I didnt want to give up! My dad said only one more cast then all of a sudden my dad pulls in the biggest fish of the night 3.10 pounds. Then he said "its late come on we have to go I have work tomorrow!" LOL. He was waiting in the car for me while I was trying to get 1 more, but no luck.

Overall great night, can't be mad!!!

ps: Earlier that night I saw an oldtimer' fishing with his waders. He came up to me and the first thing he said was, " you should really get one of these in case you fall in" and he pointed down to his waist belt around his waders!!!

Lol like 5 minutes then he started yelling!

good trip man........

next time,

you drive... and when your one up on him, pull the same thing...

jump in the car and lay on the horn till he gets in ;D ;D

...that should start some good father son rivalry ;) ;D

The fish might not have been huge, but I would love to have some action like that. We went out tonight for an hour and got skunked!!!

That's good advice.

An old belt of piece of rope will work just fine.
