thanks, I think Im gonna pick up some of the owner 5/0 ewg twistlock. I know your supposed to wait on setting the hook until you feel the weight of the fish, but is there a reason why it always retrieves upside down? Thanks!
  11. I picked up a few packs of horney toads and rage toads(havent used the rage toads yet). I been rigging it with the 4/0 gamakatsu offset shank EWG hook. The bait doesn't ride true, once it hits the water and I start reeling it goes belly up and the frog is completely upside down. I got tons of strikes and only hooked 2 bass. I varied my speed retrieve, keep my rod at like the 10 o'clock position and always makes sure I rigged it straight. Should I change to maybe a twistlock hook or even the horney toad hooks, or??? I really wanna get into froginn! Any tips? thanks!

  14. Scent/Attractant=confident factor I dont really take to much concern, when it comes to scents/attractants. I dont believe that scents attract or get more strikes. Rather has the fish hold onto the bait just a little longer, for you to get that good hookset. Or stuff like Bobby's megastrike, helps the bait slide through cover/vegetation easier. I just ordered some stuff from tackleware house with the 15% off memorial sale, and I purchased a tube of megastrike attractant
  15. "Whaccooo you talking bout willis?" I just read the news on yahoo.
  16. gills are designed to flow one way, not 2 ways. It may not kill the fish or anything like that, but if you're trying to release it as unharmed as possible you want to just move it forwards, or even in a circle. fish build up lactic acid when they're stressed, and too much will kill them. Ever catch a fish, release it and it swims away strong, then 5 minutes later it's belly up? Could take minutes, could take days to die. so especially after a good fight, or if the fish is out of the water for a while, (it's usually one of these 2 reasons why a fish won't swim away) you don't want to stress it any more than that. Most fish CAN swim backwards, but it's not something you'll see often. Usually in a pinch, if it is in a hole or something like that and can't spin around. yeah but WHY is it harmful? like what specifically happens when water flows backwards over the gills? I heard from somewhere that moving the fish back and forth, builds up to much oxygen in the stomach causing it to belly up. but IDK
  17. nice fish man!! lol I like the pic with you posing with the crank in your mouth.

I dont really know, but they look just like the pads that are in shallow water in my pond, but they even come about a foot above the surface with the stem and everything. I do know its at least 10 ft. becuase I I got an anchor for my canoe that I measured the rope. IDK I maybe mistaken, if theyr'e pads or not, I'LL try doing some research
