11 fish.. 1 hour... i needed this....

Featured Replies

Well, its been nearly 4-5 weeks since my last fishing trip.... and ive been hurting for some action..  Life has been keeping all too busy lately, but i finally got a little free time earlier today...

So i decided to make the most of it at my neighborhood pond with my UL setup.... Just rigged up one bait (pictured first)... and quite possibly my new favorite UL bait ;)

I fished around the pond in about an hour, and caught 11 fish.... maybe all dinks, but on the UL.... it was more than enjoyable ;)

here's the secret weapon...

and a few of the fish........

(i needed this :))

That's a cool little inch worm. UL's are and little bass are so much fun. I love fishing with mine and beetlespins.

Four to five weeks?  Four to five days seems like an eternity to me.

Funny thing is, when I put away my gear for the season, I don't suffer the same withdrawal.  Probably has to do with the short days, and being in darkness at five in the afternoon.

At the first sign of spring, with the days getting longer, I'll venture out.

In your neck of the woods it would be a year round deal, even in the heat of summer.

Good for you.  Not only did you get to fish, you also had great action.

Thats really cool and sounds like fun! I don't have an UL setup at this time but would love to.I'm sure it breaks up the regular routine a little and also makes the peanuts turn into hogs. Crappie time is coming soon I'd like to get a couple rigs before then.

very nice.  i'll take a day like that anytime.  you smoked 'em.

When I just HAVE to scratch that fishin' itch during the work week, I grab my UL and head down to the creek, leaving the bass boat and baitcasters at the house.  My favorite lure is the Strike King Bitsy Minnow... it ALWAYS produces!  Big enough that the bass grab it... small enough that the crappie tackle it too... I've caught more fish on that lure fishing the creek than any other bait or body of (fresh) water I've been on.

I've been looking at that little worm in the store when I pick up replacement Bitsy Minnows... I guess I'll have to try one now!

It's all about "the catching".

Thats making me want to get an UL. I've seen those tiny cranks before but I didn't know that caugh them like that.

When I get an easy weekend I've got to try it. Thanks for showing us that little secret.

Nice outing MLT. I have that bait but never thought to use it. Looks like I'll have to hit up a small 2 acre pond a friend owns that's loaded with dinks.

Nice fish, and esp nice lure.

Nice fish and that's a neat little lure.Gotta love the UL setup.

Sounds like an awesome time. I recently got an UL setup but I've only been bream fishing with it when I take my 4 year old daughter out with me. I'll definitely have to try one of those things out though. Thanks for the info man and keep catching them!

Do you own any shirts?

haha, damnit. You took my comment.

If i were in FL like you fools, I probably wouldn't. And would probably hit the gym more, too.
