Tie it onto your line and throw it out and reel it back.

You can reel it fast, slow, stop and go, fast-slow, slow-fast, stop and go fast or stop and go slow, bounce it off the bottom, hit various structure, fish it like a jig.

You can fish it anyway you want. Experiment and the bass will tell you what they want.

Use a baitcaster and flouro line.

You can add a trailer hook, too.

And remember, spell check is now an option when posting so we all can read and understand what you are asking.  ;)

Blakemore has a lure called the rockin runner it's a chatterbait with a spinner underneath it awasome bait I like the blue and black one 3/8 oz Check it out on luresonline.com

I tried the 1/8 oz but it raises to the top fast on anything but a slow retrieve. I would use a 1/4oz or bigger if I were you. Chatterbaits fish alot like spinnerbaits. They snag more around wood than a spinnerbait but work great around grass. I burn it in clearer water and slow down in murky water. Big trailers kill the action so I use something long and thin on my chatterbaits a small fluke works great. Good luck

I use the 1/2 ounce ones.  You can slow roll it back. You can let it sink and then yo yo it back SLOW. You can put a 6 inch worm on the back of it and fish it like a jig.

I have caught my biggest fish on chatterbaits.

I use them a lot in the spring time and in stained to muddy water. At least the 3/8 and 1/2 ounce varieties don't work well in clear water. Perhaps the 1/8 ounce would work better in that situation.

I caught my PB on one before I ever had a chance to turn the reel. The really do work as jigs too.

I like the Pure Poison. Seems to be better made.

Experiment with retrieves. Like a spinnerbait or rattlebait, sometimes just chuck and wind and sometimes stop and go works better.

I havent decided on a most durable one yet. Or a favorite. I had several chatterbaits break on me the wear these baits take is tremendous eventually they need to be replaced or they break. 1 or two good days seems like the max with most.

I have been looking at this board too much today. Does anyone else crave Pizza Hut????

The chatterfrog is my lure du jour.

It comes with two frog leg trailers. Make sure the trailer is straight, and does not follow the curve of the hook. When you've got it in place, a drop or two of super glue will lock it in place permanently.

I fish it in shallow or deeper water. The frog head loses its paint from bumping over rocks.

Fish it fast enough to feel a good throb in your rod.

As was suggested by another member, vary your retrieve 'til you find what the bass want.

If fishing was certified addiction then getting on message boards would be like methadone.  ;)
