New year, New equipment, New bass.

Featured Replies

Well like many of us on the boards I'm starting to poke my head out of that winter hibernation hole most of us have been in. I was able to get out with my friend to do some much needed fishing with some of my new equipment stocked up over the winter.

We went to one of my favorite lakes today and it was a great day out. We bounced around hitting some spots I'd been eying since last summer for winter fishing. Well after a few spots we found them and I landed this guy after a pretty decent fight. She was just over 21 inches and despite her looking kind of small in the picture she was definitely in the 4.8 to 5lb range.

I got to hand it to my friend though. I've got a event coming up on the lake here very soon and he just said "let go find another spot now". We could have stayed there and whacked them all day long but he wanted to leave it for me.

Wayda get out there Simp!  My hardwater is going fast this year with all this nice weather.  It looks like it may be one of the earliest springs we've had in a long while.  Gettin' kinda antsy, but we're almost there.

excellent!  great job bud.  hope there's many more like that for ya this year. :)

Nice Bass!

Nice Bass!! Where in IL are you fishing? I may have to take a trip. There is too much ice here in NE Indiana
