Snagged a 28 pound carp in the tail with a lipless crank today in 20 mph winds. Somehow got it in, on a medium/moderate casting set-up with 10 pound 100%. Dam these KVD hooks.

I bet those first few seconds (when you still thought it was a bass) were great!

BTW, how long did it take to get it in?

I second that! I actually specifically target them with corn. Pound for pound they dont fight as well as a bass does but I have never had anything take out more drag than a big carp. You are a lucky man because I actually target these and have never caught one that big.
