HighSchool Fishing is Great! (pics)

Featured Replies

Ok.... it's been a while since I've posted but school, work, and family have been rough. But here are some photos of our last Highschool tournament, finally got them posted. Me and my buddy are in the yellow shirts. We stole first place and big bass... My buddy caught big bass weighing 4.75 and our total weight was somewhere around 11 lbs. I wish I had pictures from the tournament before that when we had 14 something lbs. and I caught Big bass that weighed 5.92. Both tournaments, the big fish was the last fish caught of the day. Anyway i thought Id share some of the good news about our Highschool fishing here in Central Louisiana.... It's a growing thing and I'm lovin' it.27731_1450921795682_1312374244_1242009_4281591_n.jpg

nah man those Cappie are crazy on our home lake. They hit spinnerbaits all the time. We allow everyone to keep the crappie if they'd like to make a nice meal. Our parents were taking so many pictures I had to keep taking my fish in and out of my weigh bag to keep them alive but luckily they all swam off just fine. When you are dealing with highshcool kids though that only have "jon" boats you sometimes get some dead ones in so one person usually ends up with a nice mess of Bass and Crappie or what we call "White Perch" and I was the lucky one this time ;).

Ok man sure thing! I might be fishing a tournament with my buddy tomarrow but school is about to be out so I'll give you a call one day soon maybe we can head out and catch some.

I see why you're called the bass fishing MAGICIAN.  You were the only one in the picture who knew the MAGIC way of holding those fish out to make them look bigger. ;D

Congratulations on the win!  That sounds like a fun thing ya'll have going on.

Yea in the picture his looks bigger than ours but it isn't. He had the second biggest his was a low 4lber. We have great times at these things and we'll probably try to have a few git together "Jelly Jar" tournaments this summer out of school.
