Fishing loxahatchee with South FLA

Met up with Robert, aka South FLA for a fun filled day.

After launching and a quick run we started fishing. Tried the usual suspect baits hard & soft. The fluke was best early with the lipless akru shad best just off the bank line at the end of our day. We probably caught about 25-30 bass for the day, a couple of pickerel and a new embarrassing species for me. :'(  Thanks to bass resource for the opportunity to meet up with others members for a great fish outing. Here is the big fish for the day caught by Robert.

Had a great time with Dwight, fishing day started out well, and slowed down in the middle of the day, I think we were not in the right spots though since both Dwight and I were catching DINKS, Dwight more than me of course  ;D, but I had my fair share.  I think we finally had them dialed in right as we were about to go home and wish we could have had another hour or two.  Had a nice 4lber shake loose after catching the big one pictured (6-13) and some more 1-2lb dinks.

It was a pleasure fishing with you Dwight and lets try to get back out there or the Big O soon.  Here is another picture of the fat sow, brought her back home to release in my backyard pond.

Looks like you had a great day Dwight and Robert.

Dwight - so when do you close on your new house in FL... ::)

Dwight, congrats on your successful trip to Lox. It definitely was a plus that you could fish with South Fla. He really knows the area.

I was planning to head out to Holiday today, maybe I should head out to Lox instead. I haven't fished out there recently. Closer to home.

Nice work guys.  Dwight, I'm glad Robert put you on some fish. That place can be really fun at times, especially when you get em going on the flats.

I went out there yesterday...did OK. Didn't catch a lot...maybe 15, but average size was good.  Had a 3 and two 4s and dropped an absolute hawg about ten minutes before leaving. Came clear out of the water and spit the hook... I got too good of look at her... :'( :'(
