They stole my stuff!!!

Recommended Posts

:'( Someone broke into my garage last night they stole 8 of my best rod and reel combos. Team Daiwa reels with St. Croix rods. They also got two treestands. I'm lucky I had insurance on my stuff they said that they would have it replaced. Be carefull I had my rods laying on the front of my boat and not in the locker locked up. They got the combos but evidently couldn't get to my tackle locked in the storage. I am gonna get a lock-R-Bar now. Make sure you keep your stuff locked, or it could end up gone like mine.

Tight Lines,

I almost cried this morning when I found out!! They busted the glass out of the entry door on the garage. I am glad I had the insurance on my stuff. Only costs me $4.00 a month. It was money well spent. I have to go and pick my check up Monday I don't know if I am going to get the same set-ups or not. Wish I wouldn't have lost my stuff! My Grandfather bought me one of those reels last year for my birthday, only thing he has ever bought me. Wish I would have been more prepared for this type of thing. Gonna buy a steel entry door too, with a dead bolt, probably put steel bars on the window too. Don't want this to happen again, they might get the boat next time.

About a year ago I had all my prized lures stolen. You know the ones that you thumb through about 200 to find just one. I stopped into a gas station and someone took my tackle box. The sad part is who ever took it really has no idea what they got. So anyways sorry to hear it been there done that. >:(

That is really too bad. It has happened to me as well. Turned around for just a second and boom they got a tackle box and 2 ultra light combos. Dirty little thiefs.. maybe you'll get lucky and they'll get caught in the act next time by someone else - preferrably an ex professional wrestler!  :o

That sucks big time!  When I moved to California for a new job, I came out 4 months before I moved the family out.  On my first trip I had 4 suticases and my best fishing stuff.  I had a rod carrier chocked full of my best rods and reels, etc.  I had that thing jammed full so I could get as much out here as and still get on the airplane.  When I picked up my rental car, I started loading my stuff in the trunk and had set my rod carrier standing upwhile I put the suitcases in the trunk.  Well, anxious to check my directions map to where I was going , I closed the trunk lid and forgot I left the rod carrier standing up next to the car.  I took off and didn't realize I left it until the next morning.  I drove back to Hertz the next morning and to no avail.  SOme rent-a-car lackey today is fishing with my stuff.  I hope he appreciates what he has.  I figured there was probably $1000 worth of stuff.  I learned a valuable lesson then...when ttaveling pay attention to the fishing stuff first !    Fatdaddy, I feel for you....I feel your pain.  The bad thing is, most of us have some sentimental value attached to some of our cherished fishing stuff.

Fatdaddy, you have my most sincere condolences as to your recent loss.  I'm happy to hear it was insured and the stuff can be replaced.  The principle is what ticks me off, and the fact that your property was violated by good for nothing, low down, rotten, devil sons of ...

Did they just take fishin gear?

That just is the worst thing I've heard today...A policemen once told me even if you lock something up if a crook wants it bad enough they'll get it....Watch out they may be watching you and what you do and try and comeback. Time to put those NRA gun Stickers in your windows and that's no joke.
