Sllllllllloooooow it down.

I always feel after a day of fishing that I might have done a lot better if I'd have just slowed down my presentations.

I also need to work on my hooksets..... sometimes I just wait to freakin long and never get that next "tap".

I an going to get in better health and condition by joining a local health club and swimming and doing some light weight lifting.  Want to drop about 30 pounds to take the pressure off my back and knees.

If less is more, then I should be the master of bassin! lol

My biggest change will probably be to force myself not to fish only confidence baits. I always found myself last season impatient with anything besides my favourite baits if they didn't catch fish immediately, so this year I will have to gain back confidence in my other baits and be patient with them.

I just bought a new fish locator. Now, I just need to figure out how to put it to good use, i.e.: off-shore structure. Sometimes, they're just not on the bank.

1. No longer put Berkley Vanish on my reels so I lose less fish!

Why do you say you lose fish with vanish? Do you guys use it, as a leader or full spool? Can the vanish break easily?

This season, i'll try to be more efficient with my pitching.  I will fish more largemouths so I will use more jigs.  I will also work hard to find a great buddy to fish with.

I have always been drawn to shallow water like 3-5 foot deep and I want to figure out how to catch fish in the 15-25 foot range. That is where most of the fish are right now according to my graphs and the wind was really bad this weekend so I couldn't ever get a shot at them. I will this next weekend though.  

Wormy, I fish deep structure because that's where the big fish live. No doubt they come into the shallows occasionally and that's when guys catch them, but I believe they spend most of the time suspended near or on structure in deeper water.

I suggest you throw tubes, Carolina rigged lizards and Texas rigged worms.
