spike-it scent and color markers.

Featured Replies

Have any of you tried spike-it color and scent markers?  If so how did you like them?

Have been using it since it came out.  The chartreuse color.  It should be in every tackle bag.

I keep a few in my main walleye box because I seem to use them more fishing for 'eyes. My only complaint is that after awhile, the caps do not fit as tightly as they should.  Otherwise I'm a fan.  If they will make you a bit more confident, pick up a couple.  Also, I find the marker form to be very convenient.

I find it very convenient and not messy!

If you are a guest in another's boat that person will appreciate you more if you use the markers rather than the bottles for coloring.

X2. Adds a little something different to the tail or sometimes the head of my lizards and senkos. I use the Garlic scented. be careful not to spill. Hold over the water if you use it in the boat!

This may be a stupid question, but I recently bought some of the garlic chartruese color and I tried it on one of my bait. So far it looks like a great product. But my question is: if you spill it on the boat does it stain the boat carpet? I just finished redoing my entire boat so that every inch of it is spotless. The last thing I want to do is be in a hurry in the middle of a tournament and spill some of this stuff on my carpet and ruin it.

If anyone has spilled this product and it caused a lasting mark post a picture so that I can look at it.

NitroMan, yes the coloring will stain carpet and just about anything else. I will, over time, fade away. There is a neutralizer available too.

I use the red coloring for my braided line occasionally.

Dip your finger in the bottle and see how long it lasts, LOL

I like to use the orange marker on the tails of a color #176 hula grub.  This was deadly for me last year for smallmouth.
