i've been doing alot of night fishing and i have not had alot of luck.does anyone suggest anything as bait or..............???

Black buzzbait or spinnerbait.

The best thing I have found is a black spinner bait with a colorado blade number 4,5, or 6 depending on the size of your spinnerbait, 1/4 3/8 and 1/2 respectively. Now there are a lot of baits that will work but this has been the best producer for me. At light I like to cover water and find the feeding fish instead of pitching a worm or jig trying to coax a fish to strike.

The old standby jitter bug in straight black is making a strong come back in our area as well.

original Thunderstick once the shad come up("that magical time at night")

use one of the strike king night spinner baits

I agree with everyone :somrthing that's loud(buzzbait,prop bait,popper,spinnerbait)and/or something dark in color(black,purple,etc.)Actually,used to catch a lot on a worm.doesn't cause a commotion,but it works.Always use the darker colors.
